Arrange your herbs in the empty planters to make sure everything fits. There should be a couple of inches in between each plant. Loosely fill your planters 1/4 the way full with potting soil. You can add a layer of rocks in the bottom to help ensure proper water drainage. With your digging tool, make a small well in the potting soil where you wish you place your plants. Follow herb packaging instructions on how to remove the plant’s original casing. For example, mine instructed me to remove the bottom half of the original packaging and slightly loosing up the herb’s root system. Place each plant in it’s proper place, and begin filling in the planter with the rest of the potting soil. You will only want to fill the planter to the top of the herb’s original packaging. Once finished, give each plant enough water to moisten the soil around it. Store herbs outdoors in a place that receives an ample amount of sunlight, and water each plant a small amount each day.
