Finding Beautiful Truth . . .
Hi, friends! I’m Aubry, the creative behind Finding Beautiful Truth, and I strive to find the beauty in everyday living.
I’m based in Salt Lake City with my husband, Jake, and our cute little girl gang. Mary Jane and Violet firmly believe that toddler life is the best life. We like to take airplane rides, eat really delicious food and have 5pm dance parties. But most of our free time lately is spent finishing projects around our Mid-Mod reno. You can read about the renovation here or see behind-the-scenes snaps via @ourmidmodreno on Instagram.
Our girls may love the journey, but I’m a sucker for photogenic destinations. I recently launched The FBT Shop on Etsy + my first collection of Palm Springs prints and home decor on Society6. These curated collections of colorful travel snaps are perfect for mixing and matching. It’s such a fun way to DIY your space.
Thanks for stopping by and sticking around. I hope that you like what you see.

Finding Beautiful Truth FAQS
Q: Where do you like to shop?
A: You can find my go-to online retailers listed here. Most of my wardrobe is kid-friendly, and my momiform is usually high-rise denim (Levi’s or GAP) with sneakers to chase busy little ones.
Q: Who takes your blog photos?
A: I’ve been blogging for 7+ years, so I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of talented photographers. Here are a few we’ve worked with recently:
Haley Nord Photography – special occasion, couple sessions
Ashlee Brooke Photography – family photo sessions
Gentri Lee – blog post + social media content
Q: Will you sell more/different things in The FBT Shop?
A: I hope so! Long term, my sights are set on curating a collection that helps create a colorful + inspiring space. In the mean time, you can shop my ready-to-hang prints here.
Q: What did you study in college?
A: I majored in English Literature and minored in Communications. The majority of my upper level classes were focused on Post-Modern Lit (think Cormac McCarthy), and my senior thesis studied the life and work of Toni Morrison. Her novels are still some of my very favorite.
Q: Where did your blog name, Finding Beautiful Truth, come from?
A: I started my blog as a class project during my junior year of college. It was first titled Beauty & Truth, inspired by a John Keats. You can read “Ode on a Grecian Urn” here. Since, my blog has continued evolving into a space where I find and share beautiful truths from everyday life.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about @ourmidmodreno?
Great question! I like to think my favorite thing is that we’re actually living in it. Bad jokes aside, I love the big windows and natural light in our main living + kitchen space. It will be so nice once we add a deck, build a proper fence and landscape the yard. Indoor-outdoor living at it’s finest. (You can find home renovation posts here.)
