I’m headed out of town tomorrow to enjoy some much needed sun.
I love to travel, but packing for said travel tends to send my nerves for a loop. So, this time around I’m making myself a list, checking it twice, and vowing not to stress once my bags are zipped.
To start things out, I’m creating a color story for my vaca wear. This simply means that each piece I pack will be able to mix and match with one another. Navy is my central color, and I’ll fill in with neutrals and a few unexpected pops of color.
Light layers will be my go-to, easily helping me transition from warm and humid days to breezy, seaside nights. I’ll also wear a jacket while traveling to keep from freezing on the trip there and back.
By keeping my accessories simple, I’m eliminating unnecessary stress (yes, accessorizing stresses me out) and keeping my future getting ready “what ifs” to a minimum. The less choices I have, the better.
Other necessities include: swimwear, sunglasses, a big beach bag, and a few pieces of workout wear. Yes, I’ll be resting and relaxing, but doesn’t a few yoga sessions on the beach sound tempting?
I also can’t forget a good book for poolside reading, a hat to protect my face, my camera, and extra bits and pieces of technology. Instagram will be my sidekick–be sure to follow along here.
