Layover in Amsterdam . . .
From London to Copenhagen, we scheduled a five hour layover in Amsterdam. This picturesque city is riddled with charming canals, quaint houseboats and people who love to cycle. The sights are even pretty enough to happily hang on your gallery wall.
It was just enough time to get the feel of the city and leave us wanting to come back for more. Though there was no set agenda, we did have two specific stops in mind–Red Wing Amsterdam and Haagen-Dazs. We had our priorities straight. No trip to the Netherlands would be complete without a bit of boot shopping and a stop for ice cream.

I love these pictures, especially the different-colored bench and streets! I only got to be in Amsterdam for one day during my Europe whirlwind bus tour, but I saw a good amount of beautiful spots and sights to be satisfied with my visit! I’d love to go back someday. 🙂
