My weekly routine . . .
I’m a creature of habit and a lover of routines. My beauty regimen is no exception. When it comes to my hair care, I like to keep things simple, easy to remember and on a regular schedule.
Aveda ‘Damage Remedy’ Shampoo & Conditioner
I shampoo and condition my hair every other day with Aveda’s ‘Damage Remedy’ products. Their protein rich formula helps to moisturize and restructure my dry, damaged ends.
Phyto Lightweight Hydrating Oil
Any time my hair goes from wet to dry, I use Phyto’s hydrating oil. Post-shower, I towel dry my hair and pump a dime-sized amount into the palm of my hand. I then rake it through the damp ends of my hair, from the nape of my neck down.
Phyto Intense Hydration Regenerator
Every Wednesday night, I use Phyto’s hydrating night cream. I apply a dime-sized amount to the ends of my hair just before going to bed. It acts as a leave-in deep conditioner and provides up to eight hours of nourishment. The next morning, my hair always feels silky smooth.
Hot Tools Hair Dryer + Extra Large Round Brush
I have a goal to only use hot tools once a week. It’s usually on Fridays, and I try to make my blowout last all weekend long. I use a 3″ round barrel brush, starting at the roots and working my way down to the ends. If you’re new to the round brush scene, don’t fret. Practice makes perfect.
Dry Bar Self-Grip Rollers
On weekends when I want a bit of extra oomph, I reach for my rollers. While I’m blowdrying, I section off the top layer of my hair at the front (just behind my bangs) and at the crown. I blow these pieces dry and quickly wrap them onto large self-grip rollers. As I dry the rest of my hair, these pieces will set and give lift to my roots.
