SLC breakfast joints . . .
Out, about and on the hunt for weekend grub? I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite breakfast joints in Salt Lake City. From stacks of pancakes to the perfect Michigan hash, they’re bound to be a hit.
The Park Cafe
In Sugar House? The Park Cafe is located just across the street from Liberty Park. When the weather is nice, the outdoor tables are the best seats in the house.
Blue Star
Blue Star is the perfect place to pick up some healthier grub. I’m a fan of their fresh pressed juices and bagel sandwiches (pictured above). Plus, the coffee shop atmosphere is cozy, and the wifi is free.
Penny Ann’s Cafe
Craving pancakes? Penny Ann’s Cafe is just the place. Their menu is packed with traditional favorites. I’m taking French toast, omelets, bacon, hash browns all served diner style and without the extra fuss.
Publik
Start your day at Publik with free wifi, co-working space and a slice of homemade toast. It’s smeared with locally sourced toppings and spreads. The peanut butter, banana and honey combo is my favorite.
Bruges Waffles and Frites
If waffles are your thing, head to Bruges in downtown SLC–it’s just across the street from Pioneer Park. Order yourself a liège waffle with fresh fruit topping and a side of Belgian frites to share.
Know a place? Recommendations are always welcome. I’ll be adding to this list as I eat my way through Salt Lake City.
