Transitional beauty products . . .
Just like my wardrobe, my beauty routine changes from season to season. Here are a few products I’m taking from summer into fall.
Warm Red Lipstick
Even if I’m just wearing jeans and a tee, a swipe of red lipstick instantly elevates my look. This fall, I’ll be sticking to warmer tones like Cockney by MAC Cosmetics. It adds just the right pop of color.
Smashbox BB Cream
I’m a big fan of BB Cream, and Smashbox’s Camera Ready formula is icing on the cake. It’s a lightweight all-in-one-product that reduces shine and acts as a primer, moisturizer and concealer.
MAC Powder Blush
To add a bit of color to my cheeks, I like to stick to matte powders. MAC’s blush in Peaches is a subtle shade that stays put all day long.
Red-Orange Polish
Bright nail polish is my favorite way to accessorize. A red-orange shade like My Chihuahua Bites! by OPI is a happy medium. It mashes up a festive summer orange with a deep fall red.
Benefit Mascara
I recently discovered Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara and haven’t looked back. The wand instantly lifts and curls without leaving any clumps. What’s not to love?
NARS Bronzing Powder
To extend my summer glow, I rely heavily oupn my NARS bronzer. It’s a lightweight powder that helps contour and add an all over glow.
Scented Hand Cream
Living in a dry climate, I’m always on the hunt for moisturizing products. This Tokyo Milk hand cream smells wonderful and absorbs quickly. Plus, the packaging is really pretty.

i still can’t find the perfect red for me, but i love the look of it – might need to try out that red you have!

Hi Jackie! My best advice is to visit to your local MAC counter. I had to try multiple shades to find the red that was most flattering. It’s a labor of love, but the extra time is totally worth it!
