Portland menswear safari . . .
We made a pitstop in Portland to mix a bit of work with play. We started with a bit of shopping, the kind of shopping that Jake affectionately dubs as a menswear safari. What’s a menswear safari, you ask? It’s essentially a grand tour of all the best places to see and sample the latest styles in menswear. This round, we found ourselves in the great Pacific Northwest. It’s my second safari–I also got to tag along last November for the east coast edition in NYC.
Jake and his brother Matt like to hit all their favorite stores in one fell swoop. We made stops at a few local favorites and eventually found ourselves browsing racks at Filson, Danner, Imogen + Willie, Lizard Lounge and Shinola (take a peek at their Tribeca location). I never mind playing third wheel because the merchandising is beautiful and the collections are perfectly curated.
