Pike Place is definitely a do.
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of farmers markets, and Pike Place in Seattle is no exception.
Whenever I’m in a big city, I like to find the local market. It’s the best way to get to know a place and get a taste of the culture.
Pike Place is one of the oldest continuously operated farmers markets in the United States. It opened in 1907 and has been in business ever since. Located right on the waterfront, this is the place to stock up on seafood favorites like king crab, salmon and all kinds of shrimp.
I’m partial to the produce vendors. Their bright, colorful stalls draw me in like a moth to the flame. I love the neatly arranged fruits, perfectly placed veggies and handmade labels. Call me OCD, but it’s really one of my favorite scenes.
