Honey walnut granola in under 30 minutes . . .
I’m a big fan of breakfast and love my fair share of granolas. This recipe is a top contender because the ingredient list is minimal, and it only calls for 20-25 minutes of baking.
4 c. rolled oats
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tbs. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. canola oil
3/4 c. honey
1 cap full pure vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees, and line a lipped baking sheet with foil. Set the baking sheet aside.
In a large bowl, add the wet ingredients: canola oil, honey, vanilla. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine. Pour the rolled oats and walnuts into the large bowl, give it a quick stir and season the mixture with salt and cinnamon. Stir again to make sure all the flavors are incorporated.
Pour the granola onto the foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes and remove from the oven to stir. Put it back into the oven to bake for the remaining 10-15 minutes. After ~20 minutes, the granola should be golden brown and crunchy. Remove from the oven for good, and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
