Donation day haircut . . .
I recently chopped 9.5″ of hair to donate to Children With Hair Loss. Here are a few behind-the-scenes photos of the big cut. This is something I’ve planned to do since my first donation back in 2014. You can read more about that here. Two years later and lots of love–this is the longest my hair has ever been. I’m so glad I waited because it left me with a mid-length ‘do that has a ton of sass. I’ve got a video to prove it.
Things to Bring
When you schedule your donation appointment, be sure to bring a thick ponytail holder (that you’re happy to part with), a plastic bag that seals and a measuring tape. Having these things on hand will ensure that your cut goes as smooth as possible. It’s also important to arrive with clean hair that has no product in it. Most charities provide a list of instructions on their sites. So be sure to check those out before scheduling, too.
Come Prepared with a Style in Mind
I’ve had my eye on all things Ahn Co Tran via Pinterest and knew this was the look I wanted next. I did a whole blog post as pre-cut inspiration. You can take a peek at it here.
Interested in a donation day of your own?
I’ve made a list of charitable organizations and the donation requirements for each. Happy chopping, friends!
