Cosmetics on the go . . .
Planning a trip? From the perfect nude lip to a subtle highlighting powder, I’ve rounded up a few products I’m currently loving for short stays or weekends spent away. They’re simple to transport and make getting ready a breeze.
My Top 5
Cosmetic & Jewelry Case c/o Container Store
This two-in-one case conveniently stores both your cosmetic must-haves and your delicate jewels. The top portion fits multiple makeup brushes, a couple of polishes and a few palettes. In the lower section, your jewelry sits neatly in velvet-lined compartments. It’s the best of both worlds.
Current Nail Polish
There’s nothing worse than chipping a nail and having nothing to do about it. Truth be told, it drives me batty. To combat the crazy, I always like to keep my current color on hand (pun intended). This makes patching things up as easy as 1, 2, 3.
BareMinerals Clear Radiance Face Powder
This powder is a new addition to my routine. With minimal effort, it instantly brightens and adds a dewy highlight to my cheeks, lips and eyes. To apply, I use a small fan brush and gently sweep just above my cheekbones, at my cupid’s bow + directly below the center of my lip and underneath my brows along the brow bone.
Pixi LipLift Max in Honey Sheen
I’ve recently fallen in love with Pixi products, i.e. their collection of lip plumping glosses. They go on smooth, don’t feel too sticky and add much needed sheen to my five-minute face. I like this honey-beige shade because it works with my skin tone regardless of the season.
Caseapp iPhone Case
Orange is my favorite color, so it was a natural fit when Caseapp asked if I wanted to create a custom iPhone cover. The design process is simple, and color combinations are endless. You can even upload your own graphics or logo–talk about a killer branding tool. I kept things playful with this cute giraffe. How could I resist?
