Nightly routine . . .
As the weather starts to change, I’ve made a few small tweaks to my nightly routine. This means more hydration and an occasional exfoliation for glowing skin. Here’s the product breakdown.
Bedtime Must-Haves
It Cosmetics Moisturizing Super Cream
After cleansing my face, I add a dime-sized amount of this cream to the areas on my face that tend to get the most dry. I also like to dab a small amount just around my eyes. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels soft and is visibly hydrated.
Clarisonic ‘Mia Fit’ Skin Cleansing System
I started using the Mia last month, and I couldn’t imagine my routine without it. Instead of using it every night, I only use this cleansing system once a week. This ensures that I don’t over exfoliate or irritate my already sensitive skin.
‘Butter’ Slipper Socks (more colors)
Once the temperature drops, I like to wear cozy socks to bed. They’ve been affectionately dubbed my bed socks–makes sense, right? Occasionally, I’ll lather up my feet with lotion before putting on my socks. This locks in moisture so my feet feel silky smooth in the morning.
Silk Hair Scrunchie
Like to pull your hair back when you sleep? These silk hair scrunchies are a splurge, but I’ve noticed a big difference in both the quality of my sleep and the texture of my hair each morning. The best part is, they don’t create creases or cause breakage. Win, win.
Wild Argan Oil Body Butter
This has been the biggest change in my nightly routine. Stretch marks are part of pregnancy, but I want to do everything I can to minimize any lasting effects. Cue this rich and creamy body butter. I put it on each night before bed and have yet to notice any unwanted marks.
Phyto Hydration Regenerator + Lightweight Hydrating Oil
It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE these Phyto products. They’ve dramatically changed the look and texture of my hair. You can read about how I use them in this Hair Care Secrets post.
OPI Nail Envy Strengthener (32% OFF!)
Due to multiple applications of shellac, my nails often feel a bit brittle. Luckily, this OPI strengthening polish is packed with wheat protein and calcium (two things needed for long and healthy nails). I like to apply it on Thursday nights so I have a pretty clear coat going into the weekend.
Aveda Acne Relief Pads
A few times each month, I’ll notice a small breakout around my chin. Things like everyday stress and fluctuating pregnancy hormones are probably to blame. After cleansing my face, I swipe one of these relief pads across my problem areas. It instantly soothes the irritated skin and reduces redness come morning.
So, are you a fan of routines? What does your nightly regimen look like?
