We’re Finally Living in Our Mid-Mod Reno

Our Mid-Mod reno . . .

Cue the angel choir singing the Hallelujah Chorus because we moved into our Mid-Mod reno! Guys, I have tears in my eyes as I pull together this post. It’s been one heck of a ride, emotionally, physically and financially. Can you believe this is where we started? Our beloved 1953 rambler has come a long way, and I can’t wait to keep putting together the pieces of the puzzle. It’s finally starting to feel like home. OUR HOME.

We still have about 50 boxes to unpack, closets to organize and donation runs to make. There are pictures to hang and light switch covers to install. We have a growing punch list of things we need to do–I hear that’s always the case when you’re a home owner. Weekends are for landscaping, nights are for caulking and nap times are for renovation dust cleaning. There’s so much to do, but I couldn’t be happier.

Mary Jane and Violet are settling into their new surroundings. Luckily, they spent a good chunk of time visiting the construction site and getting to know the space. The move didn’t even phase them. They love looking out the big picture window as puppies stroll by, and I love watching them do it while I make dinner in the kitchen. Happy babies make for a very happy mama.

As we continue settling in, I promise to keep the home content coming. There are a few fun reveals in the works with brands we’re really excited about. I have a sneaky suspicion you might like a thing or two, but you’ll just have to wait and see.
