Winter Skincare Tips . . .
Between afternoon walks in our new neighborhood and spending our Saturdays on the ski slopes, my skin tends to take a beating during the cold weather months. Today, I’m dishing dirt on my must-have Gold Bond Ultimate® moisturizing products + a few winter skincare tips I swear by. They never fail to sooth my dry, chapped, and weather-worn skin all season long.
Apply Moisturizer Every Morning
A few years ago, I implemented my morning skincare routine. It’s quick, easy and keeps my face looking + feeling hydrated throughout the day. I start by gently washing with soap and a washcloth, and then I apply moisturizer. Next, I use the Gold Bond Ultimate® Neck & Chest Firming Cream. (You can find it at your local Walmart or by clicking here.) I apply a dime-sized amount to both my neck and chest, gently rubbing the skin upward. To finish things off, I add a layer of my favorite facial SPF x CC cream and a swipe of mascara.
Fill A Bottle + Guzzle
Experts across the board tend to agree that drinking water does wonders for your skin. I’ve been trying to drink a bottle of water each morning right when I wake up. It’s such a simple way to rehydrate and start the day.
Carry Lip Balm Everywhere
There’s nothing worse than the feeling of chapped lips. Am I right? I highly recommend carrying a moisturizing lip balm everywhere you go. I like to keep one in each of my bags (purse, diaper bag, gym duffle, etc.) so I never have to go without.
Apply Moisturizer Every Night
Just like my morning routine, I tend to keep things simple right before bed. I basically just wash my face with a mild face soap and apply more moisturizer—this is Utah’s driest season after all! Gold Bond’s Ultimate® Healing Hand Cream has been my saving grace. I slather it on my hands, making sure my knuckles and palms are fully covered.
I also like to use Gold Bond’s Cracked Skin Relief formula for spots that need some extra love. My hands get so dry in the winter that they tend to bleed and crack. I’m always so self conscious about it. Can you relate? It’s nice to have a solution that helps to alleviate the problem areas now AND protects my hands from further damage.
Invest in a Humidifier
We purchased a humidifier a couple winters ago, and we’ve used it every year since. It’s still one of our best gadget buys to date. It runs every night while we sleep to boost the moisture content in the air. This helps to combat things like seasonal congestion and itchy skin caused by dryness. I’ve also noticed that it does wonders for the texture of my hair.
Moisturize in the Shower
Buy a wet skin moisturizing product—one you can apply just before you get out of the shower while your skin is still damp. It’s an easy way to add an extra layer of hydration without any extra fuss.
Do you have a winter skincare routine you swear by? If so, what products do you love?

Hi Sonia–that’s a great question. I know Gold Bond has recently re-branded and changed the colors on some of their packaging. I’d recommend searching the name of the product on Google. I bet you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for. It may just look different. Hope this helps!
