Date night at home . . .
During quarantine, we’ve come up with a few fun ideas for date night at home. It doesn’t take much to make the night feel special, and a little extra thought goes a long way. Here are five ways we’ve been dating while social distancing + staying home. Yes, they mostly involve our favorite kinds of food. After nearly 10 years (and hundreds of dates), there’s no shame in our date night game.
Pick up a Pizza
This is our go-to for date night because it’s such an easy way to make the weekend feel special. It’s also a great way to explore your neighborhood food scene. Salt Lake City local? We’re big fans of Nuch’s Pizzeria in East Millcreek. Their white pizza is exactly what my dreams are made of.
Psst! You can get $7 OFF your first Uber Eats order by entering my referral code ‘eats-aubryl’ at checkout. We love the convenience of ordering via an app. Dinner delivered to my doorstep is literally just a few clicks away.
Old School Movie Night
Make a big batch of popcorn (we have + LOVE this popcorn maker), grab a few sodas, curl up somewhere cozy and pick a movie you love/haven’t seen. There’s bound to be something interesting on this Coronavirus: 100 Movies to Watch list. We recently re-watched some of the Marvel superhero movies, and I forgot how much I realllly like Iron Man.
Tackle a Project Together
We’ve done our fair share of DIY-ing since we moved into our Mid-Mod reno, and it’s been really fun. Here are 20 easy weekend projects that cost less than $20. Why not beautify your space AND check a few things off the to-do list?
Bake Something Sweet
This homemade pazookie recipe is always a hit. It’s fun to make and even more fun to eat. Pro-tip: we like to top ours with ice cream, flaky sea salt, chocolate + caramel sauce. BUT if you prefer a more traditional cookie eating experience, here’s our very favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. It goes great with ice cream, too.
Do Dinner Al Fresco
I’ve been eyeing this sleek MCM outdoor table for our covered back patio. It’s currently on sale, and it’d be perfect for dinner al fresco. I can see us spending lots of summer date nights outside, eating delicious food and laughing at all the funny things our toddlers say.
What’s your weekend go-to? Have you been ‘dating’ during quarantine?
