My favorite blue dress . . .
I remember it like it was yesterday. We were in London, it was a beautiful summer afternoon and Portobello Road was buzzing with shoppers. I’m talking love at first sight–this strawberry print blue dress by Cath Kidston was the souvenir I desperately wanted + needed. Eight years later, and I still love the dainty ruffle detail, the flattering silhouette and the feeling of ease that comes any time I wear it. This really is my favorite blue dress.
Here’s the icing on the cake. My blue dress pairs perfectly with these handmade, touli lace dresses my parents bought Mary Jane and Violet during their Grecian travels last year. Aren’t they beautiful? The embroidered floral details are so delicate and darling. I’d say it’s a match made in heaven.
I’m so glad we got to document this moment with my parents. It was a lot of fun reminiscing over our most treasured travel memories. The last few months have reminded me that we shouldn’t wait. Now is the time to snap some pictures (from a safe social distance!), wear that pretty dress and celebrate the things + people you love. Toddlers grow up, and tomorrow just might be too late.
