Easy peach cobbler dump cake . . .
I’ve loved peaches for as long as I can remember. They’re both my favorite fruit and make my most favorite desserts. During the warmer months, I can’t get enough of fresh peach pie with homemade whipped filling (Caroline’s recipe is delicious!). Can you imagine anything better on a hot summer day? This easy peach cobbler dump cake has been around for decades and hits some of those same peachy notes. Plus, it’s ready in a fraction of the time. I like to spoon up my cobbler right out of the oven, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and do a little happy dance in my seat. Life gets instantly better.

Description
This peach cobbler dump cake is as easy + as delicious as they come.
Ingredients
Box of White Cake Mix
2 16oz. Cans of Peach Pie Filling
1/3 c. Frozen Butter
Ground Cinnamon + Brown Sugar
Instructions
Lightly grease a large baking dish, and preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Gently pour the peach pie filling into the pan–you’ll want to spread out all the peaches so they make a single layer from side to side.
Next, sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of the peach pie filling. Using the palms of your hands, lightly press the mix into the pie filling. Do not mix, however. The two should just start to come together.
Grate the frozen butter with a cheese grater. (This is the easiest way to get a consistent layer of butter as a top layer, and the frozen temperature helps the crust become perfectly golden brown.)
Spread the grated butter in an even layer across the entire cobbler. Don’t skimp–if you need to grate more butter, go for it.
Add a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon and brown sugar, and cover the baking dish with foil.
Bake the cobbler at 375 for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
To serve, the cobbler is best while piping hot with vanilla ice cream and an additional sprinkle of cinnamon.
Notes
Wanna get creative? Swap out the peach pie filling for canned mixed berries, cherries or apple pie filling. I also like to tweak the boxed cake mix flavors. You can find so many different flavor combinations at your local grocer.
Here are a few of my go-to pie filling and cake mix combos: apple pie + spiced cake, berry pie + butter yellow cake, cherry pie + white cake, strawberry pie + lemon cake and pineapple pie + classic yellow cake.
