Mid-Century modern bathroom . . .
Our en-suite, Mid-Century modern bathroom is minimal and plays up our favorite elements of 50-60s design. Cue stacked tile, earthy elements and a bold dose of color. I’ve also found interesting ways to stash away my favorite products and beauty supplies. Think covered baskets, floating shelves and containers hidden inside the cabinetry. And the best part? I’ve rounded up everything so all you have to do is click and shop.
Design Elements
Concrete Sinks – We found our concrete sinks on Etsy. This style is is very similar to the one we used in all of our bathrooms. I love the way it adds an earthy, texture to the room yet it still looks and feels polished.
Wall Tile – Our floor to ceiling tile is always a conversation starter. It’s a lot of tile. We went with a 4″ x 12″ white ceramic tile and laid them in a more modern stacked pattern. You can find the exact tile we used here.
Matte Black Sink Faucets – We went with matte black fixtures and faucets because they added a grounding color throughout our home and matched our main floor cabinetry. This is the exact sink faucet we purchased. It also comes in traditional finish colors (brushed nickel, chrome, etc.).
Matte Black Cabinet Pulls – To match our fixtures and faucets, we added matte black pulls to our floating cabinetry. I love the way they blend in rather than stand out. This style is almost identical to the one we used throughout our entire home. It comes in multiple sizes and finishes to suit your storage solutions.
Carerra Marble Floor Tile – We paid homage to the original home (pre-renovation) by laying the tiles in a parquet pattern. I love the subtle contrast the different honed marble variations add to the design. You can find similar 3×6 tile to what we used by clicking the product photos below.
Solid Surface Countertops – Yes, we used this beautiful solid surface product both in our bathrooms and kitchen. The color is Luminous White and is made by Wilsonart. Even though it has a matte finish, I love the way it reflects light and still feels timeless.
Towel Warmer – I can’t imagine a better feeling than a post-shower hug from a warm and toasty towel. This is the towel warmer we went with because it allowed you to warm multiple towels at one time.
Bathroom Accessories
Colorful Pots for Greenery – I love these playful planters. We have them in multiple colors and they’re scattered throughout multiple rooms. I found mine at Ikea, but I’ve linked a few fun ones you can purchase online. Simply click the product photos below to shop.
Geometric Rug – This geometric print rug adds color and visual interest to the space. Plus, it’s 100% washable. This is an added bonus for rooms that get a lot of use–no need to fear spilling makeup or beauty products. They’ll wash right out, and the rug will look as good as new. (Psst! It also comes in this fun colorway).
Floating Shower Shelf – We added this set of matte black floating shelves to our shower. They are both functional and fashionable, and they add much needed storage to an otherwise confined space.
Rudy’s Shampoo + Body Wash – This set of shower essentials makes the perfect gift. Jake loves Rudy’s products–we were first introduced when we stayed at the Ace in Palm Springs.
Vegamour GRO Hair Products – The last year has been anything but kind to my hair. To combat stress-induced thinning, I’m using products from Vegamour’s GRO collection. Here is the shampoo + conditioner kit you see in the photos above. Isn’t that dusty pink packaging the prettiest?
Capri Blue Candle – How cute is that decorative tin? This Capri Blue candle comes in their signature Volcano scent. Light it up to instantly elevate your weeknight beauty routine.
Artisan Soap Bars + Soap Pocket – I’ve been using this all natural, artisan soap from Misty Pines Soap Co. It’s all natural ingredients smell incredible, look beautiful and make my skin feel really soft. I’m also really into these exfoliating soap pockets. They’re the best way to scrub up in the bath or shower. Game changer, I tell you!
Straw Basket – A straw basket is the perfect place to store bathroom necessities like extra toilet paper or feminine products. Hiding clutter is key, but my basket still keeps things close at hand. I found a few similar styles for you to browse by clicking the product photos below.
