Ace Hotel New Orleans . . .
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we think the Ace Hotel New Orleans is the place to stay. It’s located downtown in the Warehouse District, and the hotel is styled to perfection. We’re really big fans of the California location, too–I love how each of their properties tell a story. The Ace New Orleans is dark, moody and classically cool like an old school jazz club. It’s a serious vibe. And did I mention that everything you need is within walking distance? I’m talking historic sites, cozy Southern cafes, parks and museums mere minutes away. I can’t think of a better combination.
We spent a few kid-free days in New Orleans after our cross country trek (read more about it here). The break from parenting, the chance to sleep in and the unlimited time to connect was exactly what we needed. The best part may have been the uninterrupted meals. This was the first time in a long time that I’ve actually enjoyed a hot breakfast. Ruby Slipper Cafe, I’m looking at you! Have you ever had their French toast bites from the brunch menu? Holy moly. So delicious.
The Ace Hotel New Orleans was good to us. I’m excited to share more from our trip, our NOLA favorites and weekend travel recommendations. This city is calling your name!
