New Orleans beignets . . .
I’ve wanted to sit, sip and eat my fill of powdered sugar in the original French Quarter location for as long as I can remember. They have the very best New Orleans beignets, no doubt about it. But there’s a reason Café Du Monde is so popular, and it’s clear why this little spot is beloved by both locals and tourists alike. I’m convinced that practice makes perfect–they’ve been serving up sips + sweet treats since 1862. Friends, this is what perfection tastes like.
I shared a few tips and tricks when it comes to snagging yourself a beignet. You can bookmark my post on Instagram here. Even if Café Du Monde is really busy, it’s really not as stressful as it sounds. Their team is used to it, and they preform well under pressure. They fry ’em up and sell ’em out like it’s nobody’s business. I’ve never witnessed a restaurant turn around a constantly delicious product so efficiently. If we’re ever in New Orleans again, you better bet we’ll stop by for another round of beignets.
Looking for more New Orleans travel recommendations? We stayed at the Ace Hotel, just a 20 minute walk from this location. I shared a few pictures in this blog post. We also enjoyed the Ruby Slipper Cafe for brunch, The Joint for Southern style BBQ and The WW2 Museum on a rainy afternoon.
