Downtown Memphis Hotel . . .
After our big road trip from Utah to Mississippi, we snuck away for a night in Memphis, Tennessee. The city has seen a lot of growth over the past few years. There’s been a resurgence, and neighborhoods like the South Main Arts District have seen a complete overhaul. I’m talking new eateries, historic preservation and boutique hotels popping up to serve the influx of tourism. We really enjoyed our stay at Arrive Memphis. The rooms are beautifully cozy + the location can’t be beat.
Where to Eat in Memphis
Central BBQ (a couple blocks from Arrive)
B.B. King’s Blue’s Club (rave reviews for burgers)
Sunrise Memphis (breakfast + brunch)
Arcade Restaurant (old school diner vibes)
What to See in Memphis
National Civil Rights Museum + Hotel Lorraine – It’s just a two minute walk from Arrive Hotel and is a complex of historic buildings/museums that trace the Civil Rights Movement from 17th century to present day.
Beale Street – A quick stroll is all you really need to take in the sights and sounds of the ‘Official Home of the Blues.’
Graceland – Where my Elvis fans at? If you love the King as much as I do, you’ll really enjoy these digs. The collection of classic cars (and private airplane!) is pretty dang cool.
The Memphis Zoo – This is the best zoo we’ve been to–10/10 recommend. Our girls have been multiple times because we always have such a great experience.
Have you made your way to Tennessee? What about a weekend in good ole Memphis?
